احتفل العالم بدخول عام 2016، وتنافست دول عدة من العالم للاحتفال بأجمل الطرق لاستقبال العام الجديد.
وتميزت معظم الاحتفالات بالأجواء الصاخبة والألعاب النارية المميزة، وأبرزها في أستراليا التي كانت من ضمن أول المستقبلين للسنة الجديدة.
شلالات من الأضواء وفراشات وزهور كانت من ضمن أبرز الأشكال المكونة من الألعاب النارية التي زينت سماء سيدني.
وشهدت العاصمة الاسترالية تجمهر حوالي مليون شخص حول جسر هاربور لمشاهدة العرض المميز للألعاب النارية التي زينت سماء المدينة.
